The best example of re-framing that I’ve ever heard

Understanding frames, framing, and reframing is crucial.  Jon Sinn (a former PUA) called the interview he did with me on framing “the most important topic we’ll ever cover.”  I don’t know if I 100% agree – I think the interviews on female psychology, on how to be an alpha male and advanced attraction:push/pull are equally important – but it’s definitely up there.  If you can’t use framing and re-framing, you probably can’t get a 9 or a 10.

So, naturally, framing and reframing occupied a lot of the agenda for the Advanced Bootcamp at the Playboy Mansion last weekend.  I was in the middle of giving some examples of re-framing when Future (who was co-instructing with me) brought up a dialogue snippet he’d overheard from star Love Systems instructor Venture.  It went something like this (and no, I don’t know what Venture said that made the girl call him an asshole to begin with):

GIRL: You’re a fucking asshole!

VENTURE: Wait, I love this game!  Umm…ummm…you’re a fucking bitch! [smiling]

Simple and powerful.  Apparently he slept with her that night.  If you don’t see what’s going on here, listen to the interview on frame control.

Side note – giving a definition of frames and then giving a high-quality example of re-framing used to be a standard question on the Love Systems instructor interview (part of the new instructor application process).  I haven’t asked that one in a while – ever since Stryker, during his interview, started answering the question before I’d even finished asking it.  I don’t blame him for asking around about the interview – I’d have done the same thing – but it made me change it all up.
